About the practice

A thinking partner, not a template.

JHasty Consulting LLC is an executive business coaching and development firm. We work with the people who carry the weight of the business — owners, CEOs, founders, and the senior teams around them.

Most leaders do not need another binder of theory. They need a room where they can think out loud, be told the truth, and leave with a short list of moves that matter. That is the work here: sharper judgment under pressure, stronger leadership bench, and a business that runs on purpose instead of personality.

Jason Hasty brings an operator's perspective to every engagement. Coaching is grounded in the real numbers, the real people, and the real constraints of your company — then carried through with follow-up until the change is visible.

  • Built for practitioners

Practical sessions designed around live decisions, not case studies.

  • Confidential by design

A private space to test thinking before it becomes public policy.

  • Measured in outcomes

Every cycle ends with evidence: what moved, what didn't, what's next.

What we do

Engagements shaped around the leader and the moment.

Every engagement starts with a diagnosis and ends with capability that stays in the building. Combine the formats below into a single, coherent program.

01

One‑to‑One Executive Coaching

A standing, confidential relationship for CEOs, owners, and senior leaders. We work the live agenda: the decision you're circling, the conversation you're avoiding, the pattern that keeps repeating.

  • 60–90 minute sessions, twice monthly
  • Leadership presence & communication
  • Decision quality and prioritization
02

Leadership Team Development

Turn a group of strong individuals into an aligned executive team. We surface the unspoken issues, agree on standards, and build the operating habits that keep the team honest between meetings.

  • Team diagnostic & offsite facilitation
  • Role clarity and decision rights
  • Healthy conflict and accountability norms
03

Strategy & Growth Advisory

A disciplined outside voice on where to play, what to stop, and how to fund the next stage. We translate ambition into a written plan with owners, dates, and numbers attached.

  • Growth thesis & market focus
  • Pricing, margin & offer design
  • Quarterly strategy reviews
04

Owner & Founder Transitions

Succession, sale readiness, or simply stepping out of the daily machine. We prepare the leader, the team, and the business so the transition strengthens the company instead of stalling it.

  • Succession & exit readiness
  • Delegation and second‑in‑command development
  • Legacy, governance & family alignment
05

Workshops & Leadership Intensives

Focused sessions for teams that need to move together — new manager development, planning days, and leadership institutes built on your language, your examples, your scoreboard.

  • Half‑day and full‑day formats
  • New and emerging leader programs
  • Annual planning & alignment days
06

Accountability & Operating Rhythm

The unglamorous part that makes coaching stick: a simple cadence of commitments, check‑ins, and honest review. Fewer priorities, held longer, reviewed out loud.

  • 90‑day plan design
  • Meeting & reporting cadence
  • Progress reviews with the leader

How we work

Four phases. No mystery.

Coaching should feel rigorous, not abstract. Here is the shape of a typical engagement — adapted to the size and pace of your business.

  1. Diagnose

A candid baseline: the business model, the numbers, the team, and the leader's own habits. We name the real constraint before prescribing anything.

Weeks 1–2 · Interviews, review, alignment
  2. Design

A short, written plan with three to five priorities, clear success measures, and the cadence that will keep them alive. You approve it before we begin.

Week 2–3 · Plan, measures, cadence
  3. Develop

The working phase: one-to-one sessions, team sessions, and real-time counsel on the decisions in front of you. Practice, feedback, repetition.

Months 1–6 · Sessions, offsites, advisories
  4. Deliver & embed

We review what moved, document what should stay, and hand the operating rhythm to your team. Success is a business that no longer needs the coach in the room.

Month 6+ · Review, transfer, optional retainer

What changes

The work is quiet.
The results are not.

Good coaching rarely announces itself. It shows up in faster decisions, calmer rooms, and a leadership bench that no longer waits for permission.

Decisions stop circling

Clear criteria, named owners, and a date on the calendar.

The team stops escalating

Decision rights get explicit, so the leader leaves the bottleneck.

Strategy becomes a schedule

Priorities convert into quarterly commitments people can see.

The bench gets deeper

Successors are developed on purpose, not discovered in a crisis.

Questions

Before you reach out.

A few honest answers about how coaching works here, who it is for, and what it costs in time and attention.

Call 760-986-2273 — if Jason is in session, leave a message and you'll get a call back.

Who do you typically work with?

Owners and executives of established small and mid-sized companies — usually $2M to $100M in revenue — along with the senior team around them. Common moments: growth that has outrun the org chart, a leadership team that isn't aligned, a founder preparing to step back, or a leader who wants a private thinking partner.

How is coaching different from consulting?

Consulting usually delivers an answer. Coaching builds your capacity to reach one and defend it. In practice, this engagement does both: we will absolutely give you a direct opinion when you ask for it, but the goal is a stronger leader and a stronger team, not a permanent dependency on an outside expert.

What does a first engagement look like?

It starts with a 30-minute discovery call at no cost. If there's a fit, we do a short diagnostic, then write a plan with three to five priorities and measures. Most engagements run in 90-day cycles across a six-month arc, with a review at the end of each cycle.

Do you work with teams, or only one-to-one?

Both. One-to-one coaching is the deepest work, but durable change usually requires the team to change with the leader. Many clients combine monthly individual sessions with quarterly team sessions or a facilitated offsite.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. Individual sessions are private. Where a company is sponsoring the coaching, we agree up front on what is shared (usually themes and progress, not personal content) and put it in writing before we start.

Can you work with clients outside California?

Yes. Sessions are held virtually for clients across the country, and in person around Apple Valley and the High Desert by arrangement. Team offsites can be hosted at your location.
